The History of Silver
speaker
George Styles

2:30 pm, Friday 8th January 2010 at the Town Hall

Owing to the treacherous state of the roads and pavements this meeting was cancelled - we hope to reschedule the talk in the future.

For centuries silver has been used to create objects of beauty that are much sought after by collectors. Come along and hear some of the history of the metal and its use from a local expert.

Please feel free to bring along a piece for valuation (please be aware that there will only be a limited time for valuations so it may not be possible for George to see every piece brought along).

The Speaker
George Styles is an expert dealer in silver. In 2001 he joined the business started in 1974 by his mother Patsy in Hungerford Arcade. Since 1979 the main business has been run from their shop Styles Silver at 12 Bridge Street, Hungerford (although they retain the link with Hungerford Arcade where they still have four units).  See www.styles-silver.co.uk
