Programme:  Excursions 2010  : Lectures 2010/11
Excursions

Excursions take place  in the Summer months.  Our destinations are mainly places of historic interest with occasional visits to wildlife centres or botanical gardens.

Each trip includes a stopover of about 2 hours in a town of interest in its own right. There you can walk around and take in the sights, or simply take your time over a cup of tea or a more substantial meal.

The coach departs from Newbury Wharf at 9:30am and we aim to return at about 6:30pm.

Cost £20, Non-members £22.
Prices include transport and entrance fees*.

*If the destination is a National Trust property then NT Members will get a discount as they do not need to pay for entrance.

Lectures

All lectures are held at 2.30pm on the second Friday of the month in the Council Chamber at Newbury Town Hall (use Mansion House Street entrance).

A new departure for the Field Club is a series of evening local history lectures that started in October 2009. These lectures are held at 7.30pm on the 4th Tuesday of the month in the Parish Room  at St John the Evangelist in St John's Road.
